iNsagor's Vkw By Janet SUub As the little girl tripped down the sidewalk in some of her mother’s old dresses, hats, and high heeled shoes she was doing tho very thing every small child does at one time or another; was to Imitate someone. In this ease the little lady was portraying her mother when she went out Many times a small brother and sister will play house as they see their parents doing it in reel life. Some of the remarks can be very cute, especially if the youngster gets mixed up on the right wording. Girls seem to stick to human beings to imitate, mostly, such as teachers, mothers, older sisters and sometimes even the baby sitter. Boys, when they can be persuaded, play “father” in a game of playing house. They also love to scare a person with a fierce animal-like cry and face. When several small girls and boys get together while their mothers have coffee while watching them give off little remarks which are maybe verbatim of what a parent once said and maybe a bit embarrassing. By the way: Happy Valentine’s Day.

Share In Catch DBS MOINES, Iowa UPI — The Iowa Conservation Commission credited two women Thursday for their share in the catch of f prise fish—a 58pound, 13-ounce lunker. Miss Grace Holtzmann actually hooked the fish. Tribunal Rules Against Negro ATLANTA UPI — A federal appeals tribunal ruled Thursday that the Georgia Legislature had a legal right to reject Negro Rep-Elect Julian Bond because or his opposition to the draft and the war in Viet Nam. Bond criticized the threejudge panel for being “unwilling or unable to protect the Democratic process” and said he would appeal to the Supreme Court where he was confident of victory. The special court, in a 2 to 1 decision, dismissed as “without merit” Bond’s argument that the section-of the Georgia Constitution giving the legislature authority to judge the qualifications of its members was illegal. During oral arguments on the case earlier this month, the court eliminated race as a major factor in Bond’s rejection by the Georgia House by a 185-12 vote. The court noted that nine other Negroes had been seated by the legislature. Judges Griffin Bell of the U. S. 5th Circuit Court of Appeals and Lewis R. Morgan of the U. S. District Court said the central issue of the controversy was whether Bond’s statements “were so repugnant to and inconsistent with his oath as to make it apparent he could not honestly take the oath” as a legislator. Kashmir Talb RAWALPINDI, Pakistan — UPI — Indian Army Chief of Staff Brig. Gen. K. Chaudhuri arrived here Wednesday for talks with Pakistan Gen. Musa Khan. WHEN a child la bom with a deformed head does it mean he has had brain damage? Mrs. w. B., California Dear Mrs. B: It most certainly does not mean brain

damage.

The skull of new bom infants is elastic because the bones do not yet contain much calcium. Pressure on their skulls during pregnancy and as they peas from the womb through the Tafiaal birth canal Dr.Coleman mold their skulls into odd shapes. Shortly aftsr birth the heeds return to normal shape and appearance. There should be no concern that brain damage accompanies such temporary distortions of the skull. If there is the slightest anxiety about this, it can readily be assuaged by diaetustng the problem with the nhvsician.

After the a»nopaneo begins are the ovaries important to the woman? Mrs. T. N„ Washington Dear Mrs. N: When the ehange of life sets in the ovaries stop the formation of the ova or eggs for reproductton. Although this important function of the ovaries stops during the menopause, the overie* still play a very important role in the general health. They owitinue to produce and secrete the ovarian hormones that reduce some of the distressing symptoms that accompany the menopause. When the ovaries do not produce enough

of the hormones physicians can use additional amounts of specialized hormones to carry a woman comfortably through the early stages of the change of life. a a a What is the meaning of cardiac decompensation? Mr. T. P, Texas Dear Mr. P: Many medical terms have special meaning for physicians and confusing meanings for patients and their families. This term really means heart failure or the failure of the heart to carry on Its normal healthy activity. Suppose that an ordinary pump was pushing five gallons of water every minute into a small pipe. If the pump system went out of order, but atill worked, it would push rally two gallons of water instead of five every minute. The pump would be inadequate, or decompensated. Similarly, if the heart muscle becomes weakened or over* burdened by unusual strain, it. too, can became unable to pump the blood into the distant areas of the body. This is heart failure, or decompensation. There are now many excellent drugs that can support tho heart and keep it “compensated.” Restriction of emotional and physical strain can prevent overtaxing the heart and may avoid its failure. Dr. Coleman welcomes letters fr&m readers, and, while he can* not undertake to answer each one, he wiS use questions in Me column whenever possible end when they are of general interest.
