Halleck Gets Hunting Fine morehbad city, n. c. UPI — Former House Minority loader Charles A. Halleck, RIhd., was arrested and fined $34.40 Jam. a for hunting migratory water fowl over a baited area, court records here revealed Monday. Three North Carolinians hunting with Halleck also were arrested on the same charges and they, too, were fined $34.40 each. Iba records disclosed state and federal wildlife protectors arrested the four men. They pleaded guilty to the charge before Carteret County Justice of the Peace C. ML Krouso. The fines included court costs. Halleck and aix other persons were arrested In September, 1962, on similar charges and the congressman was cleared of the charge after a legal battle which advanced all the way to the U. S. District Court.
