Mrs. Page Honored On Her Birthday The children of Mrs. Lona Page had a surprise party for her on her 80th birthday Thursday night, Dec. 16 at her home northeast of Barnard. It was carried out as a pound party. She received many lovely gifts. The young children trimmed her Christmas tree. An enjoyable time was had my all 32 who were present. NEW ORLEANS UPI — Alfred (Al) Ritz. who •with his brothers. Jimmy and Harry, parlayed a wildly slapstick clowning technique into a long list of stage and movie hits, died Wednesday. He was 64. Al. the oldest of the group known as “The Three Ritz Brothers,” suffered an apparent heart attack. He and his brothers were completing a two-week engagement at the Roosevelt Hotel here when he was stricken.

GOP Pow Wow WASHINGTON UPI — GOP organization leaders will gather in Washington next month for four days of meetings to prepare for the 1966 state and congressional election campaigns, Republican National Chairman Ray C. Bliss said today. Republican state chainnen will meet first Jan. 29. They also have been inrited to attend the GOP National Committee meeting to be held Jan. 31-Feb. 1. In addition, the GOP Finance Committee plans a meeting and state finance chairmen will attend a “school” on new fundraising techniques.
