Gen. Soglo Takes Over Dahomey COTONOU, Dahomey UPI — The Dahomey army, led by Gen. Christophe Soglo, took complete control of this West African country in an apparently bloodless coup d’etat today. In a proclamation read on Cotonou Radio this morning, Soglo said parliament, local government bodies and all political parties were dissolved, and the constitution suspended.
