'Pope Paul May Visit Poland * VATICAN CITY UPI—Vatican sources said today there is "•‘a good possibility” that Pope Paul VI will visit Communist •Poland next year. " “But not final decision has been made,” one source told United Press International. Italy’s largest newspaper, II -Messaggero. reported in a ^front-page story today that the “pontiff was planning the trip to the Iron Curtain country. There has been speculation for months that Paul would choose Poland for his next journey. The occasion would be the 1.000th anniversary—or millenium—of the introduction of Christianity into Poland. II Messaggero’s story was written by its correspondent in Warsaw, the Polish capital.

Missing In Action FORT WAYNE UPI — Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Mann of Fort Wayn» received word from the defense Department that their son, Capt. Robert L. Mann, 33, has been missing in action in Southeast Asia. Mann, a veteran of 14 years : in the Air Force, participated in a reconnaissance flight in the Southeast Asia theater. He was sent to Viet Nam earlier this year, leaving his wife and their three children at Schull Air Force Base, Sumpter, S. C.

VFW Supports KANSAS CITY, Mo. UPI — The Commander-in-Chief of the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) said mass demonstrations will be organized on Veterans Day, Nov. 11, to show support for U.S. awvicemen fighting in Viet Nam. Andy Borg of Superior, Wis., said that under “operation boost” the 10,000 VFW posts each “wdll organize a demonstration in its own area.”

Funeral Car Saved LONDON UPI — The railway funeral car which carried Sir Winston Churchill’s body from London to its final resting place at Bladon will be shipped to Los Angeles Thursday and placed on display, it was announced Tuesday. American Express said the car, which British Railways had planned to scrap as obsolete, j had been bought by the City of Industry, a Los Angeles municipal corporation, for S980.

More Refugees Leaving Cuba KEY WEST n Fla. UPI — The exodus of refugees from Cuba picked up speed Tuesday despite high seas in the Florida Straits and indications of an approaching U. S.-Cuban agreement for a sefe, orderly airlift. The refugees still were fearful Premier Fidel Castro would slam shut the door and cut off the freedom flow from the Communist island to the United States. Three boatloads of refugees and exile crewmen arrived and five more headed into port under a Coast Guard escort or were towed in seas 6 to 8 feet high. “They the refugees do not believe the report of the airplanes until they see them and they are afraid Castro will change his mind about letting them go,” an exile source in Miami said.
