Mr. and Mrs. Harry McCabe attended the 4-H steer show at Indiana State Fair. Paul Nickel went with his son and daughter-on-law to the State Fair especially to see the bands march as their daughter marched in one of the bands. Mrs. Daisy Alexander spent Thursday and Friday of last week with Mrs. Ray Clodfelter. The program given by Bruce Brown of Tangier showing slides of his visit in Scotland and the Newnum male quartet was enjoyed very much at the Portland Mills Christian Church last Sunday night. The Ladies Aid of Portland church met with Mrs. Walter Calvert in the shelter house in their campette. Mrs. Gerald Clodfelter attended the Indiana State Fair Thursday and Friday. The Shorthorn Lassies met for their annual luncheon Thursday and had their regular business meeting. School children are enjoying this lovely weather and so glad
