NEW MONTGOMERY WARD MANAGER Clarence •'Bud” James White, newly appointed Montgomery Ward Store manager, has assumed his new duties at the local store. White was a graduate of Memorial School In St. Marys. Ohio. He has served as store manager in six different Montgomery Ward Stores and has been an employee of the firm for more than sixteen years. '‘Bud” as he is known by all of his friends, plans to reside in Greencastle until his retirement with his wife, Wanda, and his youngest of three children. Richard. Murat Gun Club Will Be Here For Big Fair Parade
The flashing display of music and showmanship is the only sample of the finery that will be brightening the streets of Greencastle on September 17 and 18. The Murat Gun Club will be one of the many exciting features that will be on hand to take you back to the "Roaring Twenties” with this years fabulous Fair on the Square. Wayne Hopkins, chairman of the grand parade, has gone all out to provide a spectacular ihow for the curb-side spectators. The parade is slated for Saturday at 2:00 p.m.—so be sure to be on hand to see this amazing Murat Gun Club and member of the Divan from Indianapolis. The Zorah Shrlners of Terre Haute will also be marching in the parade with its Brass Band, Color Guard. Oriental Band, Drum Corps, Patrol, and the famous Honda Motor Patrol: the Zips. And that's not all! You’ll also see two military units, fifteen high school bands, high stepping horses, and many antique cars from that wonderful era. No parade is complete without floats and this one promises to be no exception. Various groups and organizations are already at work on their floats, so watch for the dazzling array of colorful and original creations.
