Tina slowly is regaining use of the arm.
Franklin's Comments
Sure, those seats that the bank has out front are nice when you're tired, but I wish the guys that sit on them would chew their tobacco instead of •'spitting” it at me when I pass by. It's just like the good ole' days. They still can't keep their eyes off the pretty girls that pass by, but with the new skirts (hemline four inches above the knee — wow!) the way they are who can blame them ? The high school kids really turned out for their football physicals last Tuesday night. Coach Chance said it looked like a fine year with all the boys and the tremendous amount of enthusiasm and desire they had worked up. Too bad someone forget to tell the doctor to be there. Well, It's about time to get rid of that Honda motor scooter. College frosh can't pack them in their suitcases and high school seniors look too dignified to ride them in the snow\ There's only one problem. What can you do with them ? There's a new r way to keep tab on the city's local newspaper editor. Just follow’ the tracks of the ‘‘alligator.” 11 really think the proper name for the vehicle he drives is the Barracuda. but however you label the auto, it still comes out s-h-a-r-p.
B
Well. Sir Crispy and the ‘Critters'' are scheduled to appear in the city again this weekend. Hope the kids hold things down to a mild roar and leave a little of the armory standing for the National Guard. Putnam County can’t claim a
. single white cross on it's highI ways. Oh w r ell, don't feel bad. j The way those tigers roar up my engine and everyone else's we re sure to get a fatality someday. (But, let's try hard
not to, OK ?)
What’s wrong with these Greencastle women? I haven't seen a new dress creation (one with the four inches above the knee deal) since they came out. Oh well, the girls didn't ever catch on to the topless bathing
suits either.
One gentleman told me he had a rude awakening the other night. He said he heard a crash, boom and bang in his front yard. When he stepped outside he saw that someone had mis- < taken his front yard for a new addition to the public roads and 1 driven through. Mr. Bergen didn’t mind that they drove I through his yard, it w’as just that they awakened him when they hit a tree. Take your choice. Walk up town and choose your own. Winter, summer, fall, spring, you name it. At one store window you can purchase that beautiful winter coat, at another you can save on children's summer sandals, or if you like, you can purchase one of those marvelous air conditioners (just the thing to keep you cool in hot weather), or you can purchase a rake to clean up all those leaves that are going to fall. Oh well, i variety is the spice of life.

You sit at home and watch T.V. You’re sipping a refreshing cold iced tea. The news comes on and then you hear. The All-Star game is drawing

Special Plane For Gov. Brown ' JOHNSON CITY, Tex. UPI— President Johnson, in an effort to help the tense racial situation in Los Angeles, ordered Air Force transportation to rush Gov. Edmund G.
