Jim Clark Wins Chamoionshio NUERBURGING, Germany UPI — For the first time in history, a man has won the Indianapolis “500” and then gone on to win the World Driving Championship. Jim Clark of Duns, Scotland, clinched the world crown Sunday with his win of the German | Grand Prix as he drove the 15 laps over the grueling 14-mile ! Nuerburging at an average speed of 99.79 miles an hour. It was a new record.

ATLANTA, Ga. UPI — It took a Texan to beat one Sun-1 day as Johnny Rutherford of Fort Worth captured the championship USAC race at the Atlanta International Raceway. A. J. Foyt of Houston, Tex., grabbed an early lead and held it until he pitted for fuel on the 87th lap. He then reentered the race in third place behind Rutherford and Bill Foster of Vancouver, B. C. Foyt got past Foster on the 105th lap, but on the 108th, a right rear suspension member broke and he spun
