Editorial-Wise A Salute To The 4-H'ers Another year has rolled around and It’s Putnam County Fair time again. More and more boys and girls are participating in 4-H programs and projects and, accordingly the fair gets larger and better each succeeding year. These youngsters, the future farmers and homemakers of tomorrow look forward to the fair when they can display their various exhibits and compete for ribbons and other awards. As result of 4-H work, this county's livestock, poultry and other farm and home products rank with the best in other Indiana counties and the other states over the nation. Hats off to the 4-H Club members for their interest and to their leaders for their patience and knowledge. The 4-H'ers all over the country will soon be adult citizents and from an agricultural standpoint the United States will certainly be in good hands. Those Parking Tickets Those darn parking tickets! Are they just a nuisance or do they serve a purpose ? I know' that every time I go to my car I've got one of the little yellow tickets on my windshield. Although we raise the devil when we receive the parking tickets, they are like many other acts of the local authorities, meant for our benefit. Through the circulation of the tickets the motorist is reminded that he has overparked his vehicle and possibly deprived someone else of a parking place. The main function of the tickets is to keep traffic circulating so that everyone can be provided with equal parking opportunities. The tickets also provide for a source of revenue for our city. They benefit not only motorists, but local merchants and businessmen who depend on the out-of-town and in-town motorist for his business. Let's give ourselves a hand as well as the local authorities and city government officials by trying not to get so many traffic tickets and promptly paying our quarter fines when we receive the tickets.

South decided to lead more trumps In the hope of discovering who had the king of diamonds. When South led the third trump West discarded the deuce of diamonds, and East discarded the nine of diamonds.
VERY WICKED
This false signal was very wicked of East, but that is the way of the world. Believing the signal. South led a diamond to the ace and returned the queen of diamonds for a ruffing finesse. That was the end of the
slam.
Shrewd readers will point out that the nine of diamonds is a dead giveaway that East does not have the king. If he really had the king he would just sit tight. But if East is shrewd enough to sit tight. South may be shrewd enough to read the situation and play East for the
king.

CINCINNATI, Ohio UPI — Teamsters union President James Hoffa's only hope of remaining out of prison appears today to lie with the U.S. Supreme Court. The U. He has 20 days in which to ask the court to reconsider. which it rarely does, : or to make an expected appeal to the nation's highest court. Should he take neither step, ' at the end of 80 days he will be taken into custody to begin serving his sentence in a federal prison. He als was fined $10,000. Hoffa and three other men were conivcted in Chattanooga, Tenn., March 12, 1964, of trying to influence a jury trying him on another charge in Nashville, Tenn., two years earlier, j
