SINGERS FROM "LAND OF THE SKY" Arch Cameron, Director of Eliada Homes, Asheville, North Carotin* will present the popular, internationally-known Eliada Mixed Ensemble at a special service on Thursday evening, July 29th, at 7:00 p.m. in the Hanna Street Baptist Church, 501 East Hanna Street. Rev. Robinson, pastor, invites the many friends of both Eliada Home and the Hanna Street church to meet Mr. Cameron and the young people. You will enjoy the program. Well received in twenty-five states, over several radio and T.V. stations, and featured in a weekly radio broadcast in Asheville, these teenagers present a program of sacred music which includes solos, duets, and ensemble numbers. Their recent recording, "Musical Moments" has been well received. This choral group from "The Land of the Sky” represents a unique ministry. For over sixty years Eliada Home's open door has been a haven for not only the homeless child of the Western Carolina mountain area, but for those of other states who qualify on the basis of need. A faith work, Eliada depends upon individuals and small churches, have no denominational, fraternal, state or county agency to underwrite the expenses.

TV Blamed For Home's Quitting ! NEW YORK UPI — Behind the resignation of Sir Alec Douglas-Home as leader of Britain's Tory party last week is the story of a distinguished career all but ruined by television. It is a tale that may well chill the marrow of aspiring politicians everywhere. The unofficial reason for Sir Alec's abrupt departure was the party desire for a younger 1 and more dynamic man — a somewhat quaint excuse in a nation whose two greatest modern leaders were still functioning well into the 70s Churchill and 80s Gladstone. Sir Alec is a slender, tireless 62, a long way physically or mentally from the fireside and slippers at one of his ancestral homes and to the naked — if not the television-eye at least as vigorous as the three middleaged pudgy pretenders to the I succession. But the truth is that he had finally come to recognize that he could not project to the electora te the image that would help his party return to power at the next general election. For all his personal charm, absolute integrity, long experience in foreign affairs and ancient lineage he had failed in at least one vital medium.

The case was described as a I crime of passion.

The suspect was described as Robert Kimball, 36, of Salt Lake City, Utah. The victims were Jack Ryan, 44. a senior j U. S. aid official, and Mrs. Nguyen Thi Hai, 27, an aid mission employe.

Ryan was shot to death ©n the front lawn of his Saigon home shortly before midnight Friday. Mxs. Hai's body was nearby. Kimball was arrested Sunday. The U. S. Embassy had described him as "the prima suspect" in the double-slaying.

“I’ve got a cold,” the man said, and he went on to ask for a “wonder drug.” The pharmacist sold him some aspirin and advised him to see his physician. As it happened the aspirin fixed him up fine, but the point is this: Pharmacists are not physicians. We work with doctors, providing the drugs and medicines they prescribe. We have a professional knowledge of the powerful new "wonder drugs,” so we know how important it is to use them correctly. Please do not feel offended when your pharmacist refuses to sell you a certain drug. It is for your protection and in the best interest of your good health.
