Trouble Since Ouster Of Ahmed Ben Bella ALGIERS UPI — Col. Houari Boumedienne, Algeria’s revolutionady chief, tried today to complete formation of a civilian government and end the crisis caused by the ouster of President Ahmed Ben Bella. It was not announced when the new government would be announced, but officials said a communique was expected

shortly.

In a nationwide broadcast Monday, Boumedienne said he was planning: — A constitutional revision splitting the offices of president and prime minister. Ben Bella held both positions. — A special congress of the ruling National Liberation Front (FLN), Algeria's only political party, to adopt a new constitution for the party more in keeping with present-day j conditions. — A reform of Algeria's le- j gal system to prevent arbitrary arrests. These were common under the Ben Bella regime. Boumedienne announced that 1,318 political prisoners of the Ben Bella regime already have been released.

Soybeans Featured At State Fair Food power from soybeans— the largest dollar earner of all U. S. exports — will be the featured crop theme in the Indiana State Fair's 1965 AgricultureHorticulture Building exhibit. “This year's display will attempt to tell the story of the soybean from the farm to the family table,” said Roscoe C.

Soybeans, a miracle crop which originally came from the Orient, will be seen in seven stages of production, economic importance, processing, and utilization. The exhibit will be located in the south wing of the Agriculture-Horticulture Building, with 180 feet of wall space. ‘‘We are trying to reach soybean producers by showing the latest production practices,” Stangland said. Hoping to impress the general public with the economic and nutritive importanct of the crop, Stangland explained that the soybean is Indiana's largest crop. Assisting with the general planning and individual exhibits are Purdue University and representatives from various industries. They will provide equipment, information, and supervision for the construction of the exhibit scheduled for 11 days August 28 through September 7.

AGAINST THE GRAIN—Donna Cook, Missouri Farmers Association secretary, holds a sack containing the amount of wheat necessary for making a one-pound loaf of bread, a stunt the association cooked up to make this point: The loaf sells for an average of 21.6 cents, and the farmer gets 2.5 cents of that Now then, in 1948, says the association, the farmer’s share was 2.7 cents, and the bread sold for 13.5 cents average. IMPASSIVE PASSER-BV—With a casual glance at the body of a slain rebel, a youthful passer-by continues his stroll during temporary cease-fire in Santo Domnigo, D. R. After junta leader Gen. Antonio Imbert Barreas refused to extend a 24-hour truce, Ambassador to the U.N. Adlai Stevenson immediately announced that the United States would block resumption of the full-scale civil war by “force if necessary.”
