To be Reunited twins separated
INDIANAPOLIS UPI — A father and son soon will be reunited because an Indiana police lieutenant did not give up after two other agencies failed in a request from Rollie W. Beaver of Omaha. Neb., for help in locating his father. A letter was sent by Beaver enclosed with a request to the Indiana Revenue Department to forward it to his father, explaining that the elder Beaver had lived in Indiana for 20 years but the son had not been able to find him. The revenue department could not locate Robert Wayne Beaver, the father, and sent the request to the Indiana Department of Personnel, which also could not locate him. Then the letter was given to Lt. John Cook of the Indiana State Police, who checked motor vehicle registrations and police files but could not find the father * name. However. Cook learned that 20 years ago a man by that name lived in Sellersburg. Police checked the Sellersburg telephone directory and found his name listed. A phone call was answered by Mrs. Robert Beaver. She identified Rollie as her husband s son by a previous marriage and said "Why, we've been trying to locate that boy for years.” Governor Branigin mailed a personal note to Rollie advising him of his father's address and commenting on Cook's work.

WASHINGTON UPI—Two Indiana airports were among those for which commercial airlines recommended additional facilities in a report made public Wednesday night by the air Transport Association. The reports were part of a national survey by the 12 airlines serving the nation's smaller cities. They listed the fields the lines felt were most in need of improvements. The ATA sponsored the survey in an attempt to call the attention of the Federal Aviation Agency to what it feels are the airports involved. The report said that a full instrument landing system and a tower were needed at Lafayette where the airplaines were able to complete 97.6 per cent of sumably meant the Purdue Airscheduled landings. The report referred to Halsmer Field at Lafayette but officials at Lafayette said it preport which is used by the air- ; lines instead of Halsmer Field. At Bloomington, where 93 per cent of scheduled landings were completed, the report called for I a shortened approach light system. It specified that the system | should be half as long as standard requirements with a greater interval between lights. The report covered only the top four priority airports on each airlines’s list but Lake Central Airlines placed Muncie sixth and Kokomo seventh on its priority list
