Mora Continues In Peace Role SANTO DOMINGO UPI — Secretary General Jose A. Mora of the Organization of American States OAS today brushed aside demands that he step down as inter-American peace mediator in the Dominican crisis. Mora was criticized by the junta of Gen. Antonio Imbert Barrera and the rebels led by Col. Francisco Caamano Deno. Each side accused Mora of favoring the other in negotiations to bring about a government acceptable to all factions here. Mora said he planned to stay on as long as the CAS felt necessary. Sunday's fourth anniversary of the assassination of Dominican dictator Rafael Trujillo passed without major incident. Five Companies Face Walkouts NEW YORK UPI —Five major aluminum companies faced a steelworkers strike deadline at midnight tonight but both sides expressed hope that contract agreements could be reached in time to prevent a walkout. Labor and management planned continuous last minute bargaining. The millions of Americans who buy U. S. Savings Bonds know security is a two-way street You and your family are only as secure as the country you live in. When you start saving with U. S. Bonds you insure your own future and help keep your country strong at the same time. Bonds give you a guaranteed rate of interest —3 3 /4% when held to maturity—so you don’t have to worry about the ups and downs of market trends. And Savings Bonds aren’t subject to state or local income taxes, either. If you like, you can defer the federal income tax until you cash your Bonds.
When you buy your Bonds, you can’t help^ feeling a little proud. You’re doing your part in strengthening the cause of freedom. And that’s the best security in the world. y
