Bible Thought

The Lord seeth not aa man seeth; for man looketh on the outward appearance but the Lord looketh on the heart. I Samuel 16:7.

A Local Teenager's View by Janet Staub

Great-grandpa had the horse and bicycle. Grandpa had a carriage and a car. Dad has a car and a plane. We teenagers are ,bcky to have two modes of transportation, Hondas, and Skateboards. A Honda is a form of motorcycle. but is smaller. They sound as much like a motorcycle as a Volkswagen sounds to a locomotive. Some people think Hondas are dangerous, but they aren't really, for one reason most of them can reach only about 55 miles per hour. It takes skill to be able to operate one, for you have to know when to shift, which is the throttle; which Is the brake; and the. main thing you have to keep your balance. Riding double on a Honda is fun. But your hair

usually winds up looking as if you had been in a tornado. Skateboards are fun, and they have been found to be very dangerous. As on a Honda the rider of a Skateboard has to have a great sense of balance. An ideal place for Skateboard riding is a long smooth not too steep hill. Some daring riders think it is best to ride in the street. Besides being twice as dangerous it is also illegal. The credit for the Honda and Skateboard will always be given to our generation, along with atomic power, apace vehicles and extensive communication. So little readers out there what is your mode of transportation?

Cleaning house is a frightening phrase yet we must do it at i times. So often in all the dust i and grime holding unknown J things we toss out articles ; without thought or reason. Then some day we find we destroyed a beautiful thing. What j looks so useless as bulbs we ! saved to plant them in good earth and see blossoms of great beauty and fragrance unmatched.
