YOUR PHARMACIST
By years of training, your pharmacist is an exacting scientist. As a member of the community health team, he is a dedicated professional man. Yet he is a businessman engaged in serving your needs not only as a supplier of medicines but as a merchant whose stocks reflect the daily needs of his customers. And, too, he’s a fellow townsman, a taxpayer, a neighbor — one who has a personal concern for the health and welfare of your family.

Dear Sir:
I read R. M. Scroggin's letter in The Daily Banner as to whether or not Greeneastle was proof against getting a tornado

A former authority on geog-'*wa raphy and weather at Indiana University has said that a city located in a valley with surrounding hills would likely never be touched by a tornado for as the monster came over the
hill, riding high it would clear the city below, however, gravity would bring it down on the next hillside beyond the city to start it bouncing again. The professor stated that Bloom-

North should jump to four notrump instead of six spades. If South bid five spades to show three aces, North could bid six spades safely. And if South bid only five hearts to show two aces, North could stop at
five spades.
In fact, North jumped to six : spades, and West opened the: ace of clubs. This caused East to sit up with an alert look on | his face, a serious mistake j since it shook West out of his'i

miraculously guessed how to play the hearts). Experts would have no problem with this kind of hand. Since the dummy makes it clear that East needs an ace to defeat the contract. East would signal which ace he holds. East plays his lowest club to show an ace in the low suit (dia- j monds), but would play his highest club if he had the ace of the highest suit (hearts). With a strong hand ypu can always afford to bid your longest suit first. You can show the spades next if partner responds one notrump.
