Arthur Pierce On FBI List WASHINGTON UPI — Arthur Pierce, Jr., accused of the strangulation six-murder of an Indianapolis mother and daughter was placed today on the FBI's list of 10 most wanted criminals. Pierce has been hunted since last June 13 when the bodies of the woman and the 15-year-old girl were found in their apartment where the wanted

man had lived. Both victims had been sexually assaulted. Pierce, who had taken up with the mother following parole from an Indiana penitentiary, was reported to have been in the apartment the night before the double murder was discovered. The FBI said the 28-year-old fugitive probably is armed and must be considered extremely dangerous. His career as a lawbreaker began at age 18. Pierce has served prison sentences for burglary and auto banditry.

The wanted man, a native of Indianapolis, is described as polite, smooth-talking and wellmannered. He Presses neatly but flashily in inexpensive sports clothes. Pierce is said to favor beer and “screwdrivers” — vodka ‘ and orange juice — when he drinks. He enjoys poker, dice i games and finds recreation in dancing, swimming, roller skating and movie going. He smokes both cigarettes and cheap ci- ! gars. In the past, he has worked as a mechanic, painter, produce salesman, truck driver, usedj car peddler and welder.
