Hoosier Jailed In Minnesota WABASHA. Minn. UPI—Lee Harvell, 39. a salesman for a Terre Haute, Ind., magazine subscription service, today be-

gan a 90-day jail sentence after being convicted on charges of tricking a pensioner in his 70s. Harvell, listed here as a resident of Terre Haute but listed by his employer, Readers Service. Inc., as a resident of Flower Hill, Ark., was accused of defrauding John Lane, who is in

poor health with failing eyesight. Harvell was charged with posing as an agent for the social security office and promising to obtain $10 additional payments for Lane. Lane said he then paid $28 for a magazine subscription and was shortchanged $12.

Aid Bill Sent To White House WASHINGTON UPI — A keystone in President Johnson’s "Great Society” was in place today with final congressional

The bill lacked only Johnson’s signature to become law. The House gave the Chief Executive his first big legislative victory

voted against it.

In an unusual display of unity, House Democrats overrode every Republican attempt
