Mr. and Mrs. Fred Koessler and daughter, Loretta were pleasantly surprised Sunday evening when her son. Dale Hickman and wife and little daughter, Mauria Ann of Anderson and her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Conrady of Lafayette came to spend the evening. Jean Owens has returned
home from the Putnam County Hospital following surgery. Mrs. Ida Day fell in her home Friday evening and has a broken hip. She is a patient in the Putnam County Hospital. Mrs. Nancy Miller is recovering from surgery and has returned home from the Putnam County Hospital. Mrs. Verna Zeiner has been visiting her daughter, Mrs. Ruth Whitaker and family in Indianapolis. Mrs. Avarll Huller returned home Sunday. She was called to Indianapolis, Thursday. Her grandson, Harry Tanksley had developed pneumonia following injuries which resulted in 2nd
degree burns. He is recovering nicely. Mrs. Daisjf Youngerman returned with her. Mrs. Ruth Smith is back in Fillmore. She spent three weeks in Brazil with Mrs. Mabel j Huskey. j The W.S.C.S Faith Circle will : meet Tuesday, February 9th at 9:30 a. m. at the Methodist Recreation Building. The W.S.C.S. Circle I will meet Thursday, February 11 at 1:30 at the Methodist Recreation Building. Bring thimbles to quilt. Mrs. Kathleen Day will be the hostess. Don’t forget the Community Youth Banquet, Thursday, February fourth at the School
Cafeteria. All the young people, grades 9 thru 12 of the community are welcome. The meal will be furnished and prepared by the women of the three Churches, Fillmore Christian, Fillmore Methodist and the Bethel Baptist. The Reverend Samuel Kirk will be the guest speaker. Mrs. Gladys Tharp will entertain the “Star Light” Monday February 8th. Group C.W.F. met Tuesday evening with Mrs. Elizabeth Pyke, with eleven present. Mrs. Marilyn Wagner led the devotions and Mrs. Marebeth Wells gave the lesson. Delicious refreshments were served.
The Marionette Home Demonstration Club met Tuesday night with Mrs. Maxine Davies. Mrs. Sondra Burris gave the leson on “Discipling your child,” which was followed by a very interesting discussion. Articles for the stork shower for Wanda Mason were brought out and delivered the next day. Tasty refreshments were served to fifteen members. The Help - One - Another” Club met all day Friday, January 20 with Mrs. Dorothy Sears. Nine members were present. All enjoyed the pitchin dinner at noon. The work was mending articles for the Putnam County Hospital.
| The "Friendly Sewing Circle” met Wednesday, January 27 with Mrs. Huerta Hands, all but I two members were present. The Fillmore Garden Club will meet Friday, February 12 with Mrs. Verna Mae Miller. Members are asked to bring a new seed catalog. Mr. and Mrs. Venice Lewis of Indianapolis and Mr. and Mrs. E. O. Coffin, Dick, Ruby and Scott were Saturday dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Charles F. Smith. They were observing Mr. Smiths’ birthday. Mr. and Mrs. Gene Wheeler of Avon visited Sunday afternoon with Mi*, and Mrs. Lee Wells and Mr. and Mrs. Jesse
