Dum - dum bullets "mushroom” more than standard ammunition, inflicting extensive damage on bone and tissue. They may be especially designed, or an ordinary bullets may be transformed into a dum-dum by cutting crosswise slots in its nose. Earlier today, it was announced that the Malaysian patrol boat Perak had broken up the second guerrilla landing attempted by the Indonesians in as many days by firing on and sinking a stolen tugboat loaded with armed guerrillas. Problem Solved For Time Being WASHINGTON UPI — The Senate has solved its filibuster problem—at least temporarily —by sweeping it under the legisltaive rug for two months. The dispute itself was left untouched by the behind-the-scenes agreement reached Friday, but Senate leaders did manage to delay a showdown until at least March 9. The compromise came as profilibuster forces apparently were preparing to filibuster against a motion to bring up the proposed anti-filibuster resolution. At present, it takes a twothirds vote of senators present to cut off debate. Sen. Clinton P. Anderson, D-N.M., introduced a resolution which would permit three-fifths of the Senate to kill a filibuster. Sen. Paul H. Douglas, D-Ill., went him one better by proposing that a simple majority be allowed to end debate. But then a backstage huddle of leaders of all factions produced the compromise move to send the controversy to the rules committee with instructions to bring it back two months from now.
