SOUTH PUTNAM SCHOOL NEWS School Choir Sings at Revival At the Bethel Baptist Church Revival Meeting on November 19, The Fillmore Choir had the honor of singing. They were directed by Miss Black, choir instructor. A few of the songs that were sung were "Onward Ye People,” and Santa’s Kingdom Falling Down. Calendar for December December 22 — Cascade, here. Fire Destroys Bowling Alley GARY, UPI — A fire destroyed the Tri City Bowling Alley late Sunday and the loss was estimated at $600,000. A fire department spokesman said he believes the blaze started in the kitchen. Irvin Glickman, the owner, made the damage estimate. There were no injuries.
Senior Girls took the Betty Crocker Award Test Tuesday, December 1, 1964. The results will be given about the end of the year.

Parolee Found Dead In Bed TERRE HAUTE UPI—One of eight men sentenced to federal prison in connection with a multi-million dollar interstate football operation here several years ago was found dead in his home Saturday. Authorities said Edgar M. Wyatt, 66. was found dead in bed. They said Wyatt was paroled Aug. 21 from the Federal Penitentiary here. He was sentenced to five years in 1959 for conspiracy and attempting to evade federal gambling taxes.

Wylie, 57, retired $17,500-a-year defense budget chief, and William H. Godel, 43, who was removed Aug. 24 as a $20,-000-a-year deputy director of advanced research projects.

Wildcat Strike By Dock Workers NEW YORK UPI—Dissatisfied dockworkers in the New York and Baltimore areas today staged a wildcat strike in defiance of union leader who had pleaded they go back to i work. The New York strike, which j has been tied up half the port, began Sunday night when members of Local 791 International Longshoremen’s Asso c i at i o n stopped work at Pier 57 in Manhattan, Brooklyn, Staten Island and Newark, N.J., today. About 1,000 members of ILA Local 829 in Baltimore refused to work today, although they agreed to handle military cargo.

Man Is Injured By Plane Prop INDIANAPOLIS UPI — A man who was struck by the whirling propeller of his plane remained in serious condition today. Arthur Lundberg, 50, had just returned from Fort Lauderdale, Fla., Saturday when he fell into the propeller at Weir Cook Airport. Lundberg received a badly cut arm and chest injuries.

But they also skip a lot of the deserving, says one woman named so often to the lists she finally was elevated to a hall of fame and taken out of the running.
