five months.

Mr. Todd and his new wife settled on a farm and cattle ranch where they lived until 1920. At that time they moved and settled in Randolph County, Arkansas, near Pocahontas. They raised cotton and live stock for nearly fifteen years until his health caused him to become a selesman. He was a salesman for eleven years. Before retirement, Mr. Todd was engaged in the used car business. A lingering heart ailment caused his death. He is survived by two sons, Oliver G. Todd of Houston. Texas: and Waine Todd of Pocahontas: one daughter, Mary Todd Floyde of Hempstead, Texas: one step-daughter. Beulah Burringer of Citrus Heights, Calif.; one step-son, Orville H. Case of Mt. Vernon, Ind., and one sister, Mrs. Elsie Fredricks of 2356 Pasadena St., Indianapolis. Many other relatives and friends mourn his passing.

30 MINUTE HAM AND POTATO BAKE

3 slices pineapple, cut in half

1 can (1% pounds) ham. cut into 6 serving-size pieces 1 can (1 pound 7 ounces) whole sweet potatoes, drained 1 can (1014 ounces) condensed cream of celery soup

14 teaspoon ginger 12 whole cloves

Drain pineapple, saving 14 cup juice. In shallow baking dish (12x8x2"), place ham. Arrange potatoes around ham. Combise soup, pineapple juice, and ginger; pour over ham and potatoes. Top ham with pineapple stuck with cloves. Bake at 350"F. for 30 minutes. Spoon sauce over potatoes once during baking.

One way to make your lunch has toter beam happily is to tuck several of these Prune Spice Snaps into his kit. The Snaps are soft, plump little bars, sweet with sugar frosting on top, and spicy with cinnamon, nutmeg and cloves below. They are studded with walnuts and thick with pieces of prunes which lend their own winey tang and meaty frailness to the bars. All of which makes the Snaps delectable eating indeed. You'll find them good, also, as an informal refreshment to pass with coffee or tea. Or to accompany fruit cup or custard. In fact, when you bake up a batch you’ll be surprised how fast the Snaps disappear, mysteriously and otherwise.

414 caps sifted aD-purpose flour

1 teaspoon baking soda

1 teaspoon salt

1 cup sugar

3 cup molasses 1 cup shortening 2 eggs, beaten

2 cups plumped prunes, pitted

and cut into quarters 114 cups broken walnuts

14 teaspoon nutmeg 1 teaspoon cinnamon

14 teaspoon ground cloves \ cup confectioners sugar

3-4 teaspoons water

Cream together sugar, molasses and shortening. Add eggs, prunes and walnuts. Sift together floor, soda, salt and spices: stir into creamed mixture to make a Arm dough. Chill. Divide dough into 4 parts. Roll each portion into 14-inch length. Place 2 lengths ob baking sheet; shape to 4-inch width. Bake in hot oven, 400 degrees. 12 to 15 minutes. Mix sugar and water until smooth and of frosting consistency, adding a few more drop* of water, if desired. Frost while still warm. Cut diagonally into 114 inch bars. Makes 4 dozen ban.
