To Draft Demands PITTSBURGH UPI — Two key groups in the United Steelworkers of America (USW) meet here Wednesday to draft wage demands on the basic steel industry. The USW’s Executive Board meets first at 10 a.m., EST, in the Penn Sheraton Hotel. The union’s Wage Policy Committee, the final authority on all contract matters, meets at 2 p.m. Hanging over both sessions
will be President Johnson’s sentiments on steel wages and prices. Last week at his ranch in Texas, Johnson said: “I am sure the parties have the wisdom to reach a new agreement without a strike and without labor cost or price in-
creaess.”
The Executive tsoard makes recommendations on what the union should demand in negotiations with the nation’s 11 major steel producers. The 170- | member Wage Policy Commitj tee usually adopts these recom1 mendations. The USW is expected to ask

years.
BRUSSELS UPI — Belgian paratroopers returned to Brussels today with eyewitness accounts of how Congo rebels slaughtered hostages in the t streets of Stanleyville last week during the dramatic U. S.-

Farm Exports Boost In Commerical Sales
WASHINGTON UPI — An Agriculture Department analysis shows that practically all the increase in U. S. farm exports in fiscal 1964 was in commercial sales for dollars. Total U. S. farm exports in fiscal 1964 was about 56.1 billion. Of this, more than S4.5 billion was in commercial sales for dollars. This represented an increase of 20 per cent, or nearly $1 billion, over farm exports the previous year. Farm exports under government-financed programs totaled about $1.6 billion, up only $20 million from the previous year. The department listed a number of factors contributing to
the unprecedented increase in agricultural exports for dollars. They included: —Continued advance in economic activity in Western Europe and Japan with consequent increases in disposable income. —Shifts in dietary habits toward stronger demand for meat and livestock consumer products. —Growth in the livestock industries in these countries, resulting in increased demand for feed grains, oilseeds, and high protein meal. —Competitive pricing and better quality of U. S. exports. —U. S. market development efforts.
