It’s a delightful compliment for baked ham scored with cherries and pineapple cubes, »nd a generous mixed green salad, sparked with more grated cheese. Truly a joy to the hostess and her guests, be they many or just a few. Parma Bananas (Makes 8 servings) 1/2 cup dry bread crumbs 6 tablespoons melted 1/4 cup grated Parmesan. butter and Romano cheese 4 large serai-ripe bananas 1/8 teaspoon salt 1 tablespoon lemon juice In a pyrex pie plate, combine bread crumbs, cheese and salt. Blend well. Stir in melted butter; mix Tvell. Set aside. Peel bananas. Coat well -with lemon juice. Roll in crumb mixture, coating all sides well. Place in lightly buttered 8 x 8 x 2-inch pan. Bake in moderate oven (375°F.) 20 minutes, or until crumbs are lightly browned. To serve, slice bananas in half lengthwise and serve hot as accompaniment with baked ham, roast loin of pork or pork chops. Allow one-half banana per serving.
