Christmas week is traditionally a time for hospitality—whether It be a tree-trimming party or just a get-together for the pure joy of the season. Whatever the occasion, hospitality should be homey —and nothing is more so than coffee and pie. A little cordial, a liqueur, or some other spirit will, of course, add greatly to that holiday elegance. Luxury is the taste in the following recipe for pecan pie—richness of the season enhanced by a whisper of Bourbon or Rum. The pecans may be left whole, if desired, but using them sliced makes neater serving later. The pie is a good freezer—so make it early ahd store it away before the season’s activities and excitement take too much time. Happy Holidays! SPECIAL PECAN PIE
