Mandate Attempt Held Premature INDIANAPOLIS. UPI —The Indiana Supreme Court ruled Wednesday that an attempt to mandate a judge to call an elec- 1 tion on the question of a two- i county school reorganization was premature. The high court held that the , question had not been presented to a lower court and it, therefore, could not act on a petition filed by John W. Hamilton against Owen Circuit Judge Austin Childress. Hamilton had sought an order to compel Childress to call an election in Jefferson Township of Owen County on the question of joining with Clay County in a school district. Evidence was submitted that more than 15 per cent of the registered voters had signed a petition for release of the township to the adjoining ; county.
