Hell Re affirmed By Catholics VATICAN CITY UPI — The Ecumenical Council today approved a document which was amended to re-affirm the reality of hell as the place for the eternal punishment of sin. But liberal council fathers rejected a statement on priests as being too negative for further discussion until revised. The statement included propositions warning priests against vanity in dress and urged them to holiness in daily life, among other things. It was voted down by 1,199 to 930.
