Steps Taken To Fight Epidemic FT. ORD, Calif. —UPI—The commanding general of Ft. Ord announced Monday night that additional measures are being taken against meningitis at the Army recruit training opst, where 84 persons have been sticken and 13 have died this year. In addition, two cases in the San Francisco Bay Area have by directly connected with the post and a third is under investigation. One of the bay area cases was fatal.
