Nar Facts About 1 Yonder Drugs

THE ANTIBIOTIC wonder drugs were the object of intensive discussion at the International Antibiotics Conference at Prague. Great interest centered about a pioneering discovery. Tissues filled with antibiotics, especially the tetracyclines, were found to give off a brilliant fluorescence when examined under ultraviolet light. Prior to this

discovery, it had been felt that the value of antibiotics depended entirely Dr. Coleman on their destructive force against bacteria. The new studies show how antibiotics actually penetrate disease tissue.

Drugs sometimes produce alterations on the tongue’s surface. A recent study in Ann Arbor, Mich., has shown that furrowed and shrunken tongues are an excellent indication of the body's loss of fluid.

Volunteers For Research At the University of Michigan Hospital, seven healthy, normal men volunteered to spend three to five days with unusually small amounts of fluid intake. Every one of these patients, after the third day of dehydration, developed characteristic changes in the appearance of
