West Clinton Twp. Several people from Putnam County attended the annual REMC meeting in Rockville. The Crowd was estimated between 3000 and 3500. We are sorry to hear of the death of Mrs. Cleve Grimes of
Russellville.
The ladies of the Home Ec. Club of Roachdale. enjoyed dinner at the Countryside Inn on
Sept. 17th.
Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Clodfelter and Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Ramsey attended Kentucky State Fair. Relatives and friends entered their sympathy to the family of the late James Terry. Farmers are thankful for the rain and hoping for more soon. The pastures are so dry and j stock water the lowest it has been for many years for this
time of year.
Mr. and Mrs. Paul Nichols had supper and spent Saturday! evening with their daughter and, son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Ray Harden of Brownsburg. Gerald Clodfelter judged cat- j tie in a sale in Bloomington, Illinois on SaturdaySeveral men in this neighbor- i | hood enjoyed a dinner at the Countryside Inn Monday evening given by Murphy Feed Co.

«... .r JUlP fl'k. kxii Desserts with an elegant appearance don’t always require a lot ©f ingredients or preparation time. An excellent case in point is “Tokay Cheese Dessert Dip.” Clusters of Flame Tokay grapes are served on dessert plates with amall bowls of a dip combining cream cheese, cranberry juice cocktail and cardamom. Dip individual grapes into the mixture as a delightful finale for a. hearty dinner. Pass an assortment of favorite cheeses and crackers to accompany this Continental dessert. Fruit and cheese are ideal partners on any occasion, and the crisp texture of Tokays i# - particularly compatible with a host of popular cheese*. Low in calories yet quite filling, Tokays are also good snack* to tuck into lunch boxes and to enjoy between meals. The ruby-hued grapes halved and seeded turn fruit salads, meat sauces, pies and. cakes into extra-special treats. TOKAY CHEESE DESSERT DIP 1 lb. Tokay grapes 1 package (8 ox.) cream cheese tablespoons cranberry Juiea cocktail It teaspoon ground cardamom or nutmeg Dash salt ■Kiii* Tokers; mip into small flusters. Combine • remaWng ingredients and turn into email bowls. Serve as dip for grapes. Makes 4 to 6 sermgs.
