In 1933 Kenneth J .Eitel began working part time in the store and after completing his education devoted a full time working schedule in this fast groming firm. After three years in the service, Kenneth Eitel returned to Greencastle and with his father as a partner, moved to their present modern store. Jacob J. And because this new type of paint dries so quickly, it is not as likely to be harmed by sudden showers. However,” he continued, “each type of paint has its advantages and the home owner would be wise to discuss his particular situation with his painter or paint dealer before making a choice. That way he can be certain he will get the type of paint best suited to his needs.”

Local Jeweler Attends Session Mr. and Mrs. Harold Mason of Mason Jewelers just returned from Fort Wayne where they attended the Indiana Watchmakers convention. The highlights of the program was Max Schwartz, technical director of Bulova, explaining the new Accueton, the first electric

Another interesting seminar was by Robert Crowning-

Plan Ccmpainn On Radio, TV NEW YORK UPI — An organization of SO prominent Americans launched a $500,000 radio-television campaign Tuesday to counter propaganda

Exterior Painting (hannes flntprl Traditionally, outdoor activity around the home slows down when Nature begins to paint the trees with vivid color. But tradition seems to be changing, at least as far as exterior painting is concerned. More and more homeowners are discovering that fall is a fine time for house painting. This summary of changing patterns in exterior painting comes from Melvin L. Gaston, manager of the Sherwin-Wil-liams branch at 14-16 North Jackson Street. “The change makes good sense,” he said. "By fall, the exterior siding of a house has been thoroughly dried out by the summer sun. This means there is far less danger of trapping blister-forming moisture in the wood. Furthermore, when painting is done in cooler weather, the painter can work more comfortably and efficiently. Also, there are fewer insects to get caught in the fresh coat of paint and leave unsightly marks.” Both conventional oil-base and the newer latex house paints lend themselves to fall application, although the latter may have a slight edge in this situation, according to Gaston. "Our A-100 latex house paint, for example, may be applied overa damp surface,” he ex-
