Hotel was being carried by | cloSed-circuit television to five other union conventions in the nation. They are the United Rubber Workers in Chicago, Tobacco Workers in Miami, United Textile Workers in New York City, the Minnesota AFL-CIO in St. Paul and the Missouri AFL-CIO in Kansas City.
Miller Speaks In Idaho Falls
IDAHO FALLS, Idaho UPI— Republican vice presidential candidate William Miller, de-

of conflict of interest and accusing the Democrats of hiding behind a "smokescreen of attacks,” took his campaign into the mountain west today. Miller arrived in this southern Idaho city late Tuesday night after a speeevh in Billings, Mont. He said there that the Democrats have adopted the tactics "of extremists who are afraid of their own record and want to cover it up.” He denied that his opposition to a bill that would have permitted imports of "a certain type of wool,” conflicted with his interests as director of the Lockport Felt Co. of New York, or as a congressman.
