FHA held its first meeting won a blue ribbon. Lynn also Tuesday, September 15. in the

school cafeteria. The meeting was called to order by the President, Glenda Purcell. Pledge to the American flag was led by Jill Stewart. Devotions were presented by Marsha Preston. The main order of business was selecting dues which will be 65c a semester and discussing the candy sales for the year- We enjoyed a talk on “The Importance of Education presented by Mr. Hayes, the school’s fifth grade teacher. It was announced that Tuesday, September 22, would be initiation of new members. With no other business the meeting was adjourned with our closing

Sunday, Sept. 13, the Roachdale Chapter of FHA and their parents attended a picnic at Milligan Park in Crawfordsville. Thirty guests were present to enjoy the delicious food and warm summer sunshine. We had a wonderful day and location for our annual picnic.
