WIN FIRST PLACE AT STATE FAIR
WINS JUNIOR DIVISION AT STATE FAIR
Mr? Harold Alcorn and her three daughters, Jennie 4. Dottie 5, and Debbie 13. of Bainbridge. Route 1, won fir*t place at the Indiana State Fair in the Family Outfit Division of the Young Homemakers Style Show on Sunday afternoon, September 5. Mrs. Alcorn and her daughters were tastefully dressed in white and orange cotton print shift type dresses, nnd carried white coats lined with orange to match the print. There were fourteen contestants entered in the family outfit division. The Alcorn family group also won reserve sweepstakes aver all the 57 entries in the four categories of the Young Homemakers Style Show.
Miss Susan Birt won the Junior Division of the state “Make It Yourself With Woo!" contest at the State Fair. She won a Singer sewing machine, a silver tray, and is alternate to the national contest in Phoenix, Arizona. Joe Skimmerhorn made the presentation.
