New Weather Station WASHINGTON UPI — A new weather station operated jointly by the United States and Mexico began operating Wednesday at Chihuahua. Mexico. It is the first of three to be operated this year in northern Mexico.
Fat Brides Feared CAMBRIDGE, Eng. UPI — A Church of England court is considering an appeal by a village vicar to remove four pews from his church because “There is difficulty in maneuvering coffins around, and I think there may be difficulty about brides if they are fat enough.”
j UPI — Jewelry and watches worth hundreds of thousands of dollars were stolen from the Swiss National Exhibition during the night, police announced today. They estimated the haul at $455,000. The robbery took place at an exhibition of watches and jew* elry in the Beaulieu Palace at which 30 leading Swiss watchmakers and jewelers ware exhibiting their masterpieces.

Boy Victim Of Gun Accident NOBLES VILLE UPI—Clarence Laws, 15, Noblesville. was shot to death Wednesday when an old rifle discharged as a bird-hunting companion laid it on the ground. Reginald LeTourneau, 13. told authorities he and his brother, Russell, 15, and Clarence, were shooting birds near a gravel pit on the city’s south side when the older LeTourneau boy leaded the weapon and placed it on the ground. Russ Satellite MOSCOW UPI — The Soviet Union today launched the 36th of it’s Cosmos series of unmanned satellites. Tass, the Soviet news agency, said the satellite was in orbit and functioning normally. It said it carried scientific equipment to explore outer space.

Underneath, the mannequin wore skintight, flesh - colored panties, but at first, second or even third look you’d never I know it. So the audience at the salon of Jeanne Lanvin let out ! a yell. The billowing, floor-length gown of crinkled organza had j long sleeves and a demure white organdy school girl’s bib and collar that hid her bosoms. To add to the innocent air, the salon served popsicles just as the model swished in wearing j “magpie, ” as the gown was ; called. The entire effect, being beautiful and elegant, was more seductive than any bare-top dress ever could be. Reach Agreement With Union NEW YORK UPI—The United States Rubber Co. announced Wednesday it had reached a contract agreement covering 22,000 employes with the United Rubber, Cork, Linoleum and Plastic Workers Union. The settlement, covering pensions, insurance and severance pay, followed closely agreements reached between the union and other major rubber industry firms. The contract remains subject to ratification by union members employed at U.S. Rubber plants in 14 cities including Indianapolis, Mishawaka and Washington, Ind.
Nikita Wants His Own Terms BONN, Germany UPI — Soviet Premier Nikita S. Khrushchev is prepared to come here to discuss German reunification and Berlin, but only on his own terms, his son-in-law Alexei Adzhubei, indicated Wednesday night.
