No Big Surprises In Warren Report WASHINGTON UPI — The Warren Commission report on the assassination of President John F. Kennedy, containing "no basic surprises,” will be made public in mid-September, informed sources said Tuesday. The publication date is much later than expected. But the sources said the delay was not caused by any new developments since the blue-ribbon panel heard its last public wit-
ness on June 2.
One reported finding will be
that Lee Harvey Oswald shot Kennedy in Dallas last Nov. 2 because of a demented desire to draw attention to himself by killing someone of national importance. In addition, a source said, the report will answer “the wild speculation that has circulated in Europe” about alleged plots connected with the assassina-
tion.
The report, expected to run about 250,000 words, will be released by the White House.
