Trick Golfer To Be At Windy Hill
Local All-Stars To Play Squad From Columbus
Golf's most exciting personality, Paul Hahn, considered by all the experts as the world's greatest combination of golfer, trick shot artist, comedian and instructor will present his full one-hour routine at Windy Hill Country Club, on Thursday, August 27th, at 5:30 p.m. If you watched the handsome Houdini of the Links in the past, you know that his is an ac* that has to be seen to be believed. If you haven't then the only way you can believe what you’ve heard about him is to go out and watch. When Hahn pulls out his tricks from the bag weighing 90 pounds, you’ll see a shotmaker hitting with the accuracy of a Ben Hogan. But where the stars of golf hit their precision-iike shots with scientifically - engineered clubs. Hahn will be placing the ball 240 yards down the fairway with a collection of many clubs that look funny — and are. For those wanting a preview of Mr. Hahn’s tricks, he will be appearing on the Ed Sullivan Show this Sunday night.
Indians Split With Arkansas LITTLE ROCK. Ark. UPI — Big Dave DeBusschere, equally at home on the basketball court and on the pitcher’s mound, fired a brilliant one-hit-ter before being relieved Friday night as the Indianapolis Indians split a doubleheader with Arkansas, division leaders in the Pacific Coast League. The Tribe won the opener, 4-0, but bowed in the nightcap, 3-2. DeBusschere, now 9-6 for the season, retired 10 of the first 11 men he faced. The lone hit off was a fourth-inning single by third baseman Wayne Graham. Warren Hacker came on in the sixth as DeBusschere tired in the humidity and preserved the shutout. Gary Johnson's fourth - inning home run led Indianapolis to victory. Two throwing errors by Indianapolis helped the Travelers win the nightcap.

Bauer Impressed By Youngsters By United Presi International In Baltimore, happiness Is two fuzzy-cheeked righthanders and a pint-size Rocky Colavito. And together they’re convincing even stolid Hank Bauer that his Baltimore Orioles may be a team of destiny. What impressed Bauer isn’t simply 19-year-old Wally Bunker’s 11 victories or rookie Dave Vineyard’s two-hitter in his second major league start. Even the record - breaking pinchhitting of Bob Johnson, who bears a remarkable facial resemblence to Rocky Colavito of the Athletics, wouldn’t stir Bauer's optimism except that none of the three figured in the Orioles’ ‘64 plans as recently as May. Yet all three players were chiefly responsible for the Orioles 2-1 and 7-2 doubleheader victory Friday night over the Washington Senators which restored Baltimore to first place by one game over the Yankees in the American League pennant scramble. Vineyard, a 23-year-old hurler with 10-4 credentials from Rochester in the International League, had a no-hitter going into the seventh inning before Chuck Hinton walked and Mike Brumley and Don Lock doubled.
