OUT OF THE DREAM STAGE—Getting a man on the Moon la only a matter of time now, thinks James Lovell Jr., Number Two man in the Apollo Moon project who thinks American astronauts may achieve a lunar landing by 1969. That would be one to three years earlier than planned originally. In a news conference at the National Aeronautics and Space
Administration office in Santa Monica, Calif., Lovell said U. S. space explorers might be returning to Earth from the Moon by December, 1969, if the Man on the Moon project is given proper support by Congress, the federal government and general public. Once the astronauts land on the Moon, traveling the surface will require revolutionary equipment.

DIFFICULT CASE It was a difficult case, because it was hard to know why any law abiding citizen would be carrying 19 knives on his person. But then it came to light that the deceased merchant sold knives in his shop, and so the case was cleared up. Justified homicide was the obvious verdict. After winning the second trick with the king of clubs, South clearly should take dummy’s top diamonds to discard the queen of clubs. Only after taking this discard was it safe to lead trumps.
