The Rev. Tom Heinlein. pastor of the church, will preach the first Sunday in July. His topic will be, “The Unreasonable Forgiveness of God.” Rev. Heinlein will be on vacation the remainder of the month. Conducting the service on I Sunday, July 12. will be Dr. 1 Robert Eccles, Martin V. Beiger, Professor of English Bible and Professor of Philosophy and Religion at DePauw University. Dr. Eccles received his A.B. degree from the University of Puget Sound, M. A. from Northwestern, B. D. from Garrett Theological Seminary’, and Ph. D. from Yale. Dr. Eccles taught at American University in Washington D. C., and prior to coming to DePauw in 1953 he taught at the Indiana School of Religion at Indiana University. Conducting the service on Sunday, July 19. will be Dr. Virgil Ragan. Pastor Emeritus of the Fairview Presbyterian Church. Indianapolis, where he was pastor for over 27 years. Dr. Ragan graduated from Missouri Valley College which honored him with a Doctor of Divinity degree, and from McCormick Theological Seminary. Dr. Ragan is a past moderator of the Indianapolis Presbytery and the Synod of Indiana. Conducting the service on Sunday. July 26. will be the Rev. William London. Director of Urban W’ork for the Indianapolis Presbytery. Rev. London graduated from W’aynesburg College and from McCormick Theological seminary. He has served as the pastor of a Japanese congregation in Chicago, and has been on the staff of the First Presbyterian Church, Indianapolis. At present Rev. London is directing inner city work in Indianapolis as well as being a resource person for other urban centers of the state. In his work he attempts to keep the church relevant in the ever changing scene of the inner city, and seeks to creatively evangelize the urban areas.

Pastor Andersen attended Chicago Public Schools and went to high school in Oak Lawn. Illinois. After army service, he attended Valparaiso University, and obtained the B. A. degree with a major in Speech and Drama. He received his B. D. from Concordia Theological Seminary, Springfield, Illinois. His vicarage w’as served as Lutheran Campus Chaplain at Oregon State University. Participating in the Ordination and Installation Service will be the Rev. W\ C. Birkner, Executive Secretary of Missions for the Indiana District of the Lutheran Church — Missouri Synod, the Rev. Cecil Skibbe of Indianapolis. Circuit Counselor for this area, and the Rev r . Donald Hoger of Holy Cross Lutheran Church. Crawfordsville. Following ordination. Pastor Andersen and his family will reside at 702 E. Seminary. The Andersens have two children, Matthew, age 5, and Ruth, age 2. Visitors are welcome to attend the service.

United Church Women To Hold Meeting July 7
The Church Ecumenical: Its Ministries is the the theme for a Leadership Education Workshop being planned by the council of United Church Women. The workshop will be held at the First Christian Church on July 7 from 9:15 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. with the Greencastle Council acting as host. Women from Vigo County, Indianapolis, Ladoga. and Hendricks County as well as Putnam County have been invited to attend. t Mrs. Paul Halliday, state president of the Indiana Council of United Church Women will lead a team of four state leaders in presenting the all day program. On the team with Mrs. Halliday will be Mrs. Karl Dickerson, Mrs. Donald Thompson and Mrs. F. Edward Head. It is the hope of these state leaders
that through this program state and local leaders will become better acquainted and that local councils will be made more aware of the ministries carried on by the state and national organizations. The Greencastle Workshop is one of thirteen being planned throughout the state. Each participant is asked to bring a sack lunch, dessert and beverage will be furnished. All interested women of the area are invited to attend.
