Plan Candid Photo Record Of Wedding Day POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. UPI —You don’t have to make your own wedding gown to know that a atitch in time saves nine. This especially holds true when it comes to wedding photographs. John Freni, master photographer of Poughkeepsie, hometown of Vassar, the women’s College, suggests that you plan your wedding candids with a professional photographer. Freni, who’s done hundreds of weddings for the elite, says the bride who depends on a relative to take the candids usually is disappointed. Relatives, experience has indicated to him. usually are too busy enjoying the happy wedding day to click at the right
times.
In the first meeting with the photographer, he suggests you decide whether you want the pictures in color or black and
white.
He has found that informal
pictures in color provide the . . most memorable w-edding album. FinCOStle N©WS Other advice from Freni: Mr. and Mrs. Frank Plunkett —Check that photographers’ and daughter visited Mr. and lights can be used in your Mrs. Robert Page and children
church. Some churches limit the number of photographs which may be taken during the wed-
ding.
—Give the photographer a list of the situations you would like photographed. Have a close friend stand near the photographer during the wedding. He can help identify the guests you want included —Let your photographer know what clothes for wedding will be correct so he can show up properly attired. —Allow some latitude in the photographing. That way his artistic eye can utilize unexpected picture possibilities. Photographs of a lawn wedding which take advantage of the local scenery are especially effec-
tive.
Important candid photographs at a wedding include the bride in dressing room with attendants; the bride going down the aisle on father’s arm: the bride coming up aisle on husband's arm; bride, bridegroom and all attendants: bride, bridegroom and her family; bride, bridegroom and his family; bride and bridegroom cutting cake; bride tossing bouquet.

crosses. Churches are being built at a cost of $1 billion yearly to match the growth and spread of the population. And, thanks to the prefab technique, most new churches are complete with spire whereas only a short time ago the prohibitively expensive stone spire often had to wait years for completion. The still uncompleted Cathedral of St. John the Divine in New York is a classic example, Overly said. Cost of the prefab spires runs from $1,000 to, in rare cases, as much as $75,000, depending upon size, material and finish. Spires have been finished in gold leaf, caustic etch, plain or gold anodizing and baked or vinyl enamel. Overly said. Washable AKRON. Ohio UPI—It's easy to wash vinyl curtains, home economists report. Toss them in the bath tub, add lukewarm water and mild soap flakes—no detergents. Let soak as long as you wish. Empty the tub, add clean lukewarm water, dunk the curtain up and down a few times, and hang right back up on the rod.
Church Spires Prefabricated GREENSBURG, Pa. UPI — Traditional and stately though it may be, the spire atop your town’s new church quite possibly is the very modern product of refabrication. And, no matter what its style, from Gothic to extreme modern, probably it is made of metal— generally aluminum, copper or stainless steel, according to Overly Manufacturing Company, builder of spires and
Friday Favored By Shoppers UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. —A survey conducted at the modern-day shopping centers shows homemaktirs do more than three-fourths of the family food buying and that Friday is the most popular food shopping day in chain stores. H. Bruce Bylund, an economist at the university, said nonchain store customers are more inclined to stop at the beginning and end of the week than chain store customers. If neighborhood stores are convenient, homemakers indulge in more frequent shop-
ping with about 11 per cent of this group making daily trips to food stores. The survey indicated chain and non-chain stores could increase sales of eggs, fresh produce such as vegetables, and baked products and dairy items. Most snoppers purchase these products elsewhere.
Two New "Moons" BRAZIL UPI — •’Moon” and “June” are rhyming words often found in songs and poems, so it was appropriate when Mrs. Jerry Moon of Brazil gave birth to two new Moons, twin girls, this week at an Indianapolis hospital.
