Canadian—landed beginning at 6:30 a.m. Fixing that as the day and the hour perhaps was Gen Dwight D Eisenhower’s gravest decision.

Barrett of Los Angeles (left) attends ceremonies in Chicago commemorating the 20th anniversary of the June 6. 1944. Allied invasion of Europe in World War II. Chaplain Charles J. The defenders need five tricks to defeat the contract. They can easily win two diamonds and one club. West will get a trump trick if he never has to lead trumps. The problem is to get a second club trick. South will ruff a club in dummy if he is given the chance to do so. The defenders must lead twice to get the trumps out of dummy, but they must lead trumps from the East seat; West would lose his trump trick if he had to lead
trumps up to South.
West opens the king of diamonds. naturally enough, and ' gets a glimpse of the correct play when he sees the dummy. However. East must make sure | of the best defense by playing! the queen of diamonds at the J
