Florida Court Ruling Reversed WASHINGTON UPI — The Supreme Court today abruptly reversed a Florida Supreme Court ruling that permitted Bible reading and recitation of the Lord’s Prayer in public schools. The high court cited its decisions of last term that devotional exercises of this kind are an “establishment of religion” forbidden by the Constitution. Florida law requires Bible reading but does not mention other practices.

Ronnie Duman In 'Good' Condition INDIANAPOLIS UPI —Race driver Ronnie Duman, 32, Dearborn, Mich., was listed in “good” condition in Methodist Hospital today with burns suffered in the fiery crash which killed Eddie Sachs and Dave MacDonald in Saturday's 500mile Speedway race. Duman’s paycheck at Sunday night’s victory banquet was received by former race winner Troy Ruttman. The rookie driver was awarded 31st position and his purse was $5,000.

The business was founded in 1885 by a Boston dentist named Johnson who wanted to improve the chewing habits of New England children and created the first “educational” cracker, Speidel said.
LAWN FURNITURE NEW YORK (UPIl — In restoring metal lawn furniture, look for cracks in the existing protective coating, the National Paint, Varnish and Lacquer Association suggests. A small break will permit mosture to get under the pant film and start rust and corrosion. Once found, all traces of rust or corrosion should be sanded with steel wool and all loose or cracked paint should be removed with a wirebrush. The areas should then be spot coated with a protective anticorrosive primer. Then paint the entire surface with an exterior enamel.
