Kehrer Misses Linton Relays The Greencastle track team participated in the Linton Relays Wednesday, minus the services of Rick Kehrer the squad’s leading point getter. Kehrer sustained a muscle injury in the trial heats of the 100 yard dash. Last week at the Sullivan Relays Kehrer tied the school record for the 100 with a 101 clocking. At Linton E. Williams won the high jump with a 6'4V’ leap establishing a new meet record. T. Sheldon placed second in the 880 and R. Churchill third in the broad jump. Craig Hammond placed fourth in the high jump. A very strong Owensboro, Kentucky, team captured the meet championship.

Five-Team Track Meet Scheduled One hundred and twentyfour athletes representing five colleges and universities are entered in DePauw University’s invitational track meet here Saturday. Sending squads into the 1:30 p m. meet in Blackstock Stadium are Wabash. Wheaton, Valparaiso. St. Joseph's and the host Tigers. The two bigest delegations
will come from Wabash (39) and DePauw (35). The two Hoosier schools with Wheaton are favorites in the event. At least three stadium records will be in jeopardy. Steve Cook, Valparaiso sophomore, is just one-tenth of a second off the stadium mark of 14.8 in the 120-yard lowhurdles. He will be pushed by his teammate Steve Benz and DePauw s Bob Hutto. Keith McNeil of Wabash presof 1:55.6, but w-ith a 1:54 alently owns DePauw's 880 mark ready on the books this spring

a new record in this category wouldn’t be a surprise. A 49.4 mark in the 440yard dash also could go by the boards if Wheaton’s John Aldridge is in top form. Aldridge has clipped the distance off in 49.6 St. Joseph's Larry Lennon is riding w-ith a 49.8. Though it probably won’t set a record, the mile run may be the meet's hottest event. Three entries, McNeil and Don Race of Wabash, and Leroy Schramn of Valpo have gone the distance in 4:27 this year.DePauw’s Don Kellogg and Wheaton's D. Taylor have done it in 4:29. The stadium record is 4:18.9. Wabash and Wheaton both bring to the invitational relay teams that captured their specialties — the mile and half mile, respectively — in the Wabash Relays three weeks ago.

HEIR TO THE FIRST SANDWICH—John Montagu, heir to England’s Earl of Sandwich, does a little well bread work on a mountain of his namesakes at the World’s Fair in New York, where he is sandwich consultant at the International Gardens. Montagu is a direct descendant of the English peer who in the 1700s happened to put a piece of meat between two pieces of bread for a snack. The idea spread, and was forerunner of the All-American lunch, the hamburger.
