Famous Fight Promoter Dies NEW YORK UPI _ Humbert Jack Fugazy, who made a “comeback” as a fight promoter at the age of 75 when he helped stage the second Floyd Patterson-Ingemar Johansson heavyweight title fight, died Tuesday mgnt at Wickersham Hospital. Fugazy and his nephew, William D. Fugazy, promoted the Patterson-Johansson bout at the Polo Grounds on June 16, 1960, under the banner of Feature Sports, Inc. Patterson became the first man in history to regain the heavyweight crown when he kayoed Johansson in the fifth round.
