Lemon Sweetner Combine 1 cup sugar and 1 cup water in a saucepan. Stir over low heat until sugar is dissolved. Add % cup lemon juice and 1 teaspoon lemon rind. Cook 5 minutes. Chill and strain. One tablespoon syrup will sweeten one tail glass of iced tea.
