Morton News Mrs. Ivyl McGaughey of Russevillville was a week end visitor of Mr. and Mrs. Hubert McGaughey and family. Mr. and Mrs. Larry Bartley of Manhattan were Sunday afternoon visitors of Mr. and Mrs. Garnett Leonard and sons. Mr. and Mrs. Rex Call visited their son Bob Call at the Putnam Co. Hospital Sunday afternoon. Recent visitors of Mr. and Mrs. Vern Sigler were Early Jackson, Walter Calvert and Mr. and Mrs. Carl Snodgrass. Mrs. Barker of Rockville is a house guest of her son Harold Barker and family. Mr. and Mrs. Don Jefferies and daughter were Sunday afternoon visitors of the Barkers. Mrs. David Clodfelter was pleasantly surprised last Friday evening. It being her birthday Mr. and Mrs. Lee Martin and children, Mr. and Mrs. Joe Stultz and sons. Mr. and Mrs. Hubert McGaughey and family. Mr. and Mrs. Brad Taylor and sons and Mr. and Mrs. Earley Jackson and family gathered at the Clodfelter home and enjoyed a social evening. Sunday afternoon visitors of Mr. and Mrs. Phillip Goode were Mr. and Mrs. Maynard Hurst and daughter Carolyn, Paul Jinea and Mrs. Mae Truax all of Mt. Meridian. Jennifer Burk of Bainbridge was a week end visitor of her grandparents Mr. and Mrs. Glen Gosnell. The Gosnells, Mrs. Duane Burk and daughter Mrs. Glen Steele and daughter Glenda visited a shopping center tn Indianapolis Sunday afternoon. Union Chapel Church had a large attendance for their Worship Service Sunday morning. The God and Country Award service for Gary Clodfelter son of Mr. and Mrs. Lyle Clodfelter drew a crowd from Russellville. The Scoutmaster, Mr. Paul D. Carrington and about 40 Scouts were present also Mr. Glen Flint from the Brick-Chapel

Church gave a summary of God and Country requirements. Mr. and Mrs. Jake Martin, Mr. and Mrs. Noel Bettis and Mrs. Ira Hutchison enjoyed a fish supper at Hillsdale last

Thursday evening.

Mrs. Roscoe White returned to her home Saturday after spending two weeks in Indianapolis with her sisters and mother. Her daughter Mrs. Jess Vermillion spent Sunday after-

noon with her.

Mr. and Mrs. Morris Irwin and Mrs. Aileen Overstreet visited Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Kendall on Sunday afternoon. Mrs. Kendall returned to her home from the St. Francis Hospital last Wednesday and is

slowly improving.

Mr. and Mrs. Warren Caywood Saturday afternoon and Mr. and Mr. and Mrs. Walter Hines and daughter and grand-daughter.

Mr. and Mrs. Leland Allgood returned home Friday from a two weeks visit with Mrs. Allgoods brother Terrell Clones and family of Daly City, California. They took the Bay cruise from Fishermans Wharf past Alcatraz Island. They turned around under the Golden Gate Bridge. They were in Hollywood and went on a tour, stopping at Disney Land, Knotts Berry Farm and other

places of interest.

Mr. Ray Clodfelter spent the day Saturday with Mrs. D. P. Alexander. Mr. Ralph Clodfelter called on Mrs. Alexander in afternoon. Mrs. Bess Webster

was also a caller.

Mr. and Mrs. Noel Nicholson entertained on Saturday with a dinner for the Bainbridge Junior High basketball team also

Mr. Earl Todd will return Home on Tuesday afternoon from Clinton Hospital where he has been a patient for several days with double pneumonia. Sgt. Jerry E. Todd, son of Mr. and Mrs. Earl Tood will be transfered for Griffin Air Force Base in Ronue, New York to Wheeler Air Force Base in Tripoli Libya, North Africa, for 30 months.

Health Insurance Institute, partly because of a substantially higher rate of accidental injuries among boys. ’ Analysis of U. S. National Health Survey data, the Institute said, showed that at least 63 out of 1,000 children of both sexes under the age of 15 are hospitalized each year. But the rate for boys is nearly 14 per cent higher than the rate for girls.
