Jerusalem; Nitaa 10, SO—Jerusalem today is a scene of unrest and turmoil. Before dawn, Herod Antipas, tetrarch of Galilee, announced the capture of Barabbas, the country's’ most-wanted criminal. In the announcement, Herod revealed that Barabbas had been turned over to the Romans and was being held in the Antonia Tower dungeon, under heavy guard to prevent his rescue by followers. Following the announcement, riots broke out at many points within the city. Although undermanned at the present time, Gaius Calpumis, captain of the Centurion Guards, expects to have the situation under control before the arrival of the Capernaum Legions tomorrow. In the past few years, Barabbas has made quite a name for himself as a rebel and robber, preying upon the caravans of Roman merchants. Jewish police have been reluctant to capture him as he has become a popular figure among the common people.' It is believed that in arresting Barabbas and turning him over to the Romans, Herod, for the first time, is showing a willingness to cooperate with Pontius Pilate. Barabbas has been wanted by the Romans for questioning in last year’s mysterious disappearance of Marcus Lucullus, wealthy young businessman and son of Sen. Lupinus Lucullus. Adding to the city’s unrest was the sudden appearance of Jesus of Nazareth in the Temple. There, he ordered the merchants and moneychangers out, turning over their tables and chairs, and chastising them loudly for making the Temple of God a den of thieves. Then, as suddenly as he had come, this strange young man whom followers call the Son of God, left once more for Bethany. [<p|

No Vote Likely
On Cotton, Wheat WASHINGTON UPI —Democratic leaders apparently have give up hope of getting a House vote this week on a Senate-passed price support bill
for cotton and wheat.
Also set aside for the time being is a related bill to expand nationwide an experimental plan now in effect in 43 communities under which the needy can buy at a discount food stamps that can be spent
like cash in grocery stores.
Failure of weekend negotiations looking toward prompt action on one or both bills apparently meant the House will start a 10-day Easter recess Thursday without having acted
on either measure.
The delay came as a sharp disappointment to House leaders. to cotton state representatives, to textile interests, to some lawmakers from wheatgrowing areas, and to big city members who view the food stamp plan as one line of at-
tack on urban poverty.
The bills are related in that passage of either is dependent on passage of the other. There probably are not enough votes for any single part of the overall package to pass. House leaders have been working to put together a combination of interests sufficient to shove through both bills.
