Tony Hulman Urges Olympic Fund Support

Tony Hulman. president of the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, today urged all Hoosier sportsmen ana fans to participate in the current fund-raising drive necessary to send a formidable United States team to the liio4 Olympic Games at Tokyo. As chairman of Indiana’s Olympic Fund Committee, Tony emphasized tha fact that full United States representation will be possible only if sufficient funds are obtained by public subscription. Unlike the Olympic teams from some of the other participating nations, the Americans receive no financial aid from the federal government. “Several Hoosier track and leld stars, as well as swimmers, iefinitely are Olympic material :his year.” he said, “and the citzens of Indiana will have a personal interest in the outcome of :he Olympic contests which are aeld only every fourth year.
