James B. Rowan became the

Kalamazoo Horizontal Band Cutoff Saw hero of the afternoon as his 4-

second field goal ripped the nets to put Craw’fordsville into a 1point lead as the Athenian's grabbed a heartbreaker from beneath the noses of the Williams-

port Bombers, 63-62.

Craw’fordsville trailed most of the game. Their first lead came with 6:24 to play. But that lead was taken away from them as Jeff Holloway came through with a field goal. Their second lead came with that final 4-second

shot.

The Athenians only toed the charity line nine times during the game. They hit five of those nine attempts. Williamsport, on the other hand, had 19 attempts with 12 being pushed through. Williamsport ran into trouble in the last quarter when their scoring fell. Crawfordsville only gave them nine field goal attempts with five of them being

good.

Bob Williams scored 19 points for the Athenians with Gary Wilson and Eric Johnson 14 and 11 respectively. Williamsport’s Mike Armstrong lead the game scoring with 21. Bob Tanner finished out the game with 15 and Jeff Holloway with 14.
