Hearings Slated On Redistricting INDIANAPOLIS UPI — The Legislative Processes Committee adopted a resolution yesterday agreeing to undertake the responsibility of setting up a plan for realignment of Indiana's 11 congressional districts. The eight-member committee said it will hold a public hearing in each present district before deciding an a new plan. The first two hearings were set for March 23 at Seymour for the 9th District and April 6 at Jasper for the Sth District. Chairman Sen. Von Eichhorn, D-Uniondale, said the remaining district hearings would be scheduled later and all eight members of the committee, of which State Rep. Charles Edwards, R-Spencer, is co-chair-man, will attend. The Legislative Advisory commission at a February meeting asked the committee to determine what might be done in the light of a U.S. Supreme Court ruling recently in connection with a Georgia congressional district controversy. Indiana’s congressional districts have not been changed

since 1941.
